I am officially awful at blogging. I can't keep up with it! I'll try to get better for the very small audience that I do have :)
Baseball season has started and has made our lives a little crazier. Chris is the head freshman coach of a really great team. His kids are playing really well and he's really loving it. I've been to a few games but would really prefer to wait until I can bust out my tank tops and flip flops. The game Friday was COLD! I had on a long sleeve tshirt, a hoodie, a fleece jacket, and a Guyer windbreaker. Not to mention I cuddled up with his mom and Weezie under a sleeping bag....HA!
Update on our fertility status-we went to a fertility specialist a few weeks ago and talked about some options. The average couple has a 20% chance of conceiving any given month. After trying for a year (and falling in the unexplained infertility category), a couple only has a 2% chance on their own. So we started looking at some treatment options. School insurance is TERRIBLE so nothing is covered. We left the office with a plan to do injectable medication (Chris would give me shots everyday) and an IUI (intrauterine insemenation). We went home, talked and prayed, and decided that may not be our best option for cost reasons. IUI has a 20% success rate and would cost us about 3 grand out of pocket. So we started looking at IVF (invitro fertilization). IVF has a 60% success rate but requires a lot more time and more money. Around the time of our decision, Chris did our taxes and we get back a HUGE return for buying our home during the recession. WHAT A BLESSING! As teachers, we both have summers off which would give us the time that is needed with IVF (ultrasounds every other day plus the retrieval, etc.). If the IVF was successful, I would be due around March/April giving me maternity leave into the following summer. With everything falling in place as beautifully as it is, we're thinking this could be our shot. Right now we're praying that if this is not what we are suppose to do, that God would close a door. Until a door is closed or we are led in another direction, it's looking like we will start treatment in the summer. PRAY FOR US PLEASE!

I don't think you are the world's worst blogger...at all! You're just busy! Keep blogging when you have time, though. You probably have a bigger audience than you think you have! And we here at the Marshall house are sending lots of prayers your way that everything works out this summer (or maybe sooner, you never know) for a little baby Crowder to be in your future!
